Mr. Sidoti has more than 30 years of Wall Street experience and was a leading healthcare analyst for Value Line, Drexel Burnham, Natwest Markets and Schroders before founding Sidoti & Company, LLC in 1999 to address the dearth of research on companies not included in the S&P 500 or generating investment banking fees. Through the 1990s, Mr. Sidoti was directly involved with nearly 100 initial public offerings, secondary offerings and mergers in the nursing home, assisted-living and healthcare REIT sectors.
From 1979-1985, Mr. Sidoti was a financial analyst with The Value Line Investment Survey, where he was trained as a fundamental equity analyst and subsequently covered stocks in the utilities, healthcare services, medical supplies, textile, retail and home appliances industries. In 1984, Mr. Sidoti began managing the two newly formed tax-exempt funds at Value Line; between that time and 1985, the funds accumulated assets of nearly $400 million. At the time of his departure from Value Line, Mr. Sidoti was a senior analyst who reviewed and edited the reports of other analysts before publication.
Mr. Sidoti joined Drexel Burnham Lambert, Inc. in 1985 and was promoted to senior analyst for the healthcare services and medical supplies industries. In 1990, he joined NatWest Markets to lead the research effort for the healthcare services and medical supplies industries, and in 1992 assumed responsibility for the REIT industry as well. In mid-1995, Mr. Sidoti began the research team for the Emerging Growth Industry, which grew to nine analysts and one salesperson within a year. In 1997, Mr. Sidoti joined Schroders, where he was responsible for research for the Healthcare Services Group and for the Emerging Growth Group. He supervised more than 18 analysts and the support staff.
In 1999, Mr. Sidoti left Schroders and established Sidoti & Company, LLC, to focus on research of companies with small market capitalization.
Mr. Sidoti graduated from New York University in 1978 with a B.S. in accounting and in 1980 from
NYU with an M.B.A. in finance. He holds the Series 7, 24, 63, 79, 86 and 87 licenses.
Mr. Jacobs is the director of trading of Sidoti & Company, LLC. Mr. Jacobs has 33 years of experience on Wall Street and has worked at Dresdner, NatWest Markets and Drexel Burnham Lambert. Mr. Jacobs joined Sidoti & Company, LLC in 2004 to lead its trading desk, which commenced operations in April 2004. Mr. Jacobs graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Arts in engineering, and received a Masters of Business Administration in finance from Emory University.
